Think outside the box.
Most Black people refuse to befriend racists. Most homosexuals refuse to befriend homophobes. Many Christians refuse to befriend Atheists.

Now the obvious response would be because said racist/homophobe/Atheist is against how you identify as a person. Why be friends with someone who thinks you should go back to Africa/Iran/Mexico/etc? Why be friends with someone...
If you go to visit or live in another nation,
learn their most spoken language and general culture. You don’t have to be totally fluent, but know the basics. Don’t expect them to cater to you because you’re not a local. Have some common decency and respect their land.

External vs. Internal Emotions
A post I reblogged a few minutes ago had several comments that made me think. Everyone is saying how grateful the boy acted upon recieving his gift of a lifetime. Saying how a child like that deserves the world, all because he teared up and was in shock over a gift he didn’t think he’d receive.
